Since relocating to Long Beach, California, in 2020, Misirlou Peeka/Stone (they/them) has cultivated a practice where the boundaries between the surreal and the tangible dissolve. A multidisciplinary creator deeply rooted in the Ex Corpse collective since the 2022 festival season, Stone operates at the intersection of visual art and sonic curation, driven by a singular belief: that imagination is a vital tool for constructing new meanings and fostering human connection.
Visually, Stone’s work manifests as a body of highly detailed, handmade collages. Informed by a lifetime of formal art education and relentless visual experimentation, these pieces are not merely assemblages of images but portals into whimsical, playful realms.

Parallel to their visual practice is Stone’s life behind the decks. As a DJ with years of experience spanning college and community radio stations, their approach to music is equally intentional. For Stone, DJing is far more than entertainment; it is a mechanism for human identification and solidarity.
Their sets are curated through an ongoing, multi-genre obsession, designed to create spaces where listeners—particularly within the queer community—can find resonance and belonging.
